Gorani: During 2021, I have seen family people who haven't spoken to each other because of politics.

Journalist Dukagjin Gorani said on the TV Pressing in T7 that the year 2021 will be remembered for major political divisions in Kosovo society.

Gorani says these divisions have caused divisions even within families.

The influence of society caused by political and party mobilization. I think it's been a bad phenomenon, it's still going to be, and I think we had to get a little bit more involved about dividing the rivalry and not sharing. During this year I have seen family members who have not spoken among themselves because of party differences. And that's extremely due to party play and belonging. I don't even have this during my 90s and my release. I don't think society is trying to ostracize itself. If there isn't a form of correction, I think our society can fall into a silent situation in social conflict. Which personally bothers me because I don't think there's anything so important that can divide society to this extent. And I don't think there's anything like that to separate family members, friends between themselves, and split into “ne” and “ata””, he says.

In addition Gorani says these divisions in the past have caused major divisions in other societies.

For example, when a man goes to Sarajevo, when they say Sarajevans “ata”, you know who you think about. Animosity, hatred, and patience remain in that word. I have seen during this time of the end that there is a great commitment to remaining this division in our society. It was good how many parties, as in this case, to stop and understand each other so that the divisions do not return to the level of hostility. Because they can barely stop now. Anyone who remembers the history of this underworld knows that conflicts can start out for fun and end up in great tragedies. What I see in our society is that sometimes a dictionary of objections is used. Where you should be or with us or with them eating. This form of expression takes away the merchandise of the 1980s when a former country did so and spoke against each other. Sometimes you have to stop and get in perspective and stop and get along with someone. Partial rivalry is in democracy. But hostility causes division”, he concluded.
