Although the amendment that has been made to the Law to fund political parties, the latter say that besides reporting and auditing, it is far more important to avoid the informality of financing of political subjects.
Political parties in the country say Kosovo has legal grounds in terms of regulating the Law for financing political parties.
AAK GP chief Besnik Tahiri says the law initiated at the time of the Haradinaj government is ready, while adding that there is also the opinion of the Venice Commission.
He says the AAK is the most transparent party on this issue.
“The prospect of financing political parties is addressed in a separate law we have handled in Haradinaj Government, where we have brought it. The Law on Financing Political Partys also has an opinion of the Venice Commission on this topic”.
“Ter is more important that political parties' finances become transparent, AAK in the past year has been the best-management party in the audit report, and transparency in party financing is transparency of its policy functioning in Kosovo”, Tahiri said.
Vetevendosje Movement MP Adnan Rrustemi says regulating this issue would avoid the informality of party financing in the country.
“The issue of financing of political subjects is regulated by a different law, such as the Law on Financing Political Subjects, I think Kosovo has legal grounds on regulating this issue”, he said.
The “will also be brought to the site, and the completion of this Law will be brought to the site, yet I think that in addition to reporting and auditing, it is far more important to avoid this informality and financing of political subjects, to increase transparency anyway, but also to ensure that political subjects are financed by precise and legitimate sources, as well as to report to the CEC and audit the reports”, he said. /EO
