Limaj was indicted by The Hague's International Court for War Crimes in Yugoslavia in 2003. At that moment he was in Slovenia, Limaj on the T7 Pressing show shows a full confession from this [...]
Limaj was acquitted of the charges, but says he was desperate with the tribunal in The Hague after it was set up to try Serbia's crimes and then become political by judging all peoples of the former Yugoslavia. He says he had no information whatsoever that he would file an indictment against him and that she was published in Podgorica by Carla Del Ponte.
I had no idea. I was in Slovenia. In fact, Shaban Buza told me, respected journalist and respected professor. I think he worked in Reuters then. Probably because of the agency he worked for. Carla Del Ponte has been most likely visiting the Black Mountain. and Podgorica has been published. Imagine, from Montenegro, the indictment was issued against me at a news conference. And Buza calls me and regrets she says gently, she tells me if you have information. I knew nothing. He said I'm sorry, but the Podgorica has issued an indictment by Del Ponte. I said boner. It was the first information. There was no signal. I didn't have any information. Then they started contacting the Slovenian police. It was their state procedures that should be respected. Two weeks I stayed there and then extradited”, he said.
He shows that at the time of the indictment, he was 32 years old.
“32 years old when he has gone to The Hague to be tried for crimes”, he said.
Yesterday was the anniversary of Limaj's return to Pristina, where a large crowd of people had met.
