The decision has been approved by 57 votes for, 17 abstentions and none against.
Emergency measures will apply in maximum 60 days. Emergency measures include imposing restrictions on energy supply to consumers and establishing specific obligations for energy companies.
The decision envisions the establishment of an Emergency Technical Committee with the aim of identifying and presenting recommendations to the economy minister. This committee is tasked with recommending implementation of measures to address the negative effects created by the economic crisis. After the recommendations, the ministry must publish restrictive measures.
The decision envisions measures for 60 days, but the Assembly could continue for more periods of 30 days.
It has been several days since electricity reductions have been returned to the country.
The government has argued this decision with the crisis that has plagued the country, while the opposition has called management government Kurti late and failing to manage.
