The senior US official underlined that if former Prime Minister Berisha returns to the helm of the Democratic Party, the latter would have consequences.
Escobar said Sali Berisha is a person declared non grata by the US and as such American officials will not meet with him.
Investigations for Berisha, as he has explained, are a long institutional effort, and according to him this effort has been extended even during Donald Trump's administration.
Over George Soros' possible ties with the decision on Berisha, which he accuses and claims, Escobar named the dangerous “”.

Deputy Assistant Secretary of State suggested that additional sanctions will be made throughout the Western Balkans, declaring among other things that the US will be willing to make available to the justice system files they have on different persons.
Thus, the rule of law can be decided as soon as possible in Albania. He said the rule of law is the foundation Albanian democracy needs. Escobar stressed that the US will exert public pressure on sanctions, but that the last word will meet the judiciary in Albania to show itself.
Integration into the European Union has also been a point where it has been halted. The top American official has told the fact that the only direction for Tirana is the union. However, seen also by scepticism, the latter must rush to the admission of Balkan states into the community.
As, on co-operation with Washington, he claims they will follow up on some voices. Top among them, co-operation with military, economic, educational or cultural character.
