Those comments, Escobar, revealed in an interview for CNN, while arguing that Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik is deeply corrupt and trying to use ethnic language as a distraction.
If you look at the history of the former Yugoslavia, seven countries, two of them are in the EU, four are NATO members and most of them are enjoying extraordinary economic success. If you look at the six Western Balkan countries, they are the six countries that are not in the EU, four are making progress towards EU membership, in all of these Bosnia are disfellowshipped. Corruption in Bosnia is the worst in Europe except Belarus and Azerbaijan”, Escobar has said.
“People are leaving the country not that they don't want to live in a multiethnic country, but because they can't find a job, without corruption connections”, he said.
Escobar has also declared that real threats to the Dayton Agreement are coming, and most of them are coming from Milorad Dodik.
