The emergency decision is detected by a general situation of the staggering increase in electricity prices in international markets and gives the government the opportunity to intervene, whether by financial instruments or even administrative instruments. Until countries in the region had declared the state of emergency, no decision had been made by the Kosovo government that would be aimed at preventing the crisis in which the country is present.
The decision to declare the emergency situation is taken to today on December 29th, after the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo has approved the Government's decision on December 24th for emergency situations that will last 60 days.

Prime Minister Kurti, when asked about the crisis in which the country has been introduced in terms of electricity supply, argued that Kosovo couldn't buy the electricity earlier, since according to Prime Minister Kurti “rm can be stored in the 8x1> refrigerator.
In terms of the Kosovo Government's delay in the move company, there have been numerous reactions from both the opposition and civil society.
