The project, called “Earth's Black Box”, is a giant steel installation that will soon be filled with solid disks empowered by solar panels, each documenting and preserving a stream of real-time dailys and scientific analysis on the most grim issues facing the world.
Information about climate change, species extinction, environmental pollution and impacts on health will all be recorded in the Black Quteau”, so that if a future society can one day detect archive, they will be able to link what happened to the planet.
This giant box is a steel monolith measuring 10 feet [10 m] long, 4 feet [4 m] high, and 3m wide. Its steel walls are 7.62 inches [762 cm] thick, and solar panels will be placed on its roof.
