Danish prisoners in Kosovo: The deal envisions the arrival of convicts by 10 years

The Kosovo-Denmark agreement is expected to be signed next week, while this should be ratified in the Assembly as well.
As Telegrafi learns, the agreement is for prisoners with 10 years of prison sentences from courts in Denmark, which do not include acts of terrorism and mentally challenged people.
By contrast, Kosovo from this agreement with the state of Denmark earns 15m euros annually and another 6m euros in renewable energy investments and also donations to issues dealing with rule of law.
The agreement will also include rehabilitation, renovation of physical infrastructure in Kosovo prisons, building staff capacities, training, work activities, schooling, etc.
As the convicts learn, they will be monitored according to Danish laws, security, well-being and all related to them is from the Danish state.
Otherwise, senior officials of Denmark's correctional institutions had visited the Kosovo Correcting Service in October 2020.
In a report by this media institution, it had become known that the two-day visit was conducted under the co-operation of the Kosovo Correcting Service with Denmark's correctional institutions.
