The Ministry of Justice in the Government of Kosovo has made arrangements with the Ministry of Justice in Denmark for the release of a correctional institution with the capacity for three hundred convicts. From this deal, which will last 10 years, Kosovo will benefit about 210m euros.
And that is why Eris Hannah, legal adviser to the justice ministry, who has said a Danish guerrilla will run the work in prisons along with an Albanian and other local staff.
Hannah has said that after an investigation they have concluded that Kosovo has the capacity to accept 300 prisoners.
He has also said that the Danish sought investment in infrastructure.
“We want to create the same standards for them and we will achieve it”, Hannah told The Edwardsville Intelligence.
“One of the most powerful and the greatest benefits is that we are restoring Denmark's Kingdom as a strategic partner for the Republic of Kosovo and we are making them one of our most powerful donors”, Hannah said.
The agreement is expected to be signed early next year, and the two parliaments must ratify it.
