Kadriu says electricity consumption is at extraordinary levels.
“at this moment the difference between production and import is extremely high. Under normal conditions it would not be a problem, but rising prices on the international market has exacerbated the” situation, he said.
COST chief says energy reductions are necessary to maintain the integrity of the energy system and not be penalised by international partners.
Kadriu says that past years in Kosovo have not had such a large cost of electricity, but, according to him, “due to the free price of electricity, this year even citizens have begun using it for heating”.
We hope that together we will overcome this situation, which will be a challenge for the next two months”, Kadri Kadriu said.
