He wrote in a Facebook post that Kosovo lost a great friend today, while the world is a staunch fighter for global freedom and democracy.
“Bob Dole, senator and republic leader in the US visited Kosovo in 1990. This historic visit alarmed the international community of its plight and brutal violation of Albanians' rights in the former Yugoslavia. Senator Bob Dole was a major supporter of our state's freedom and independence, and worked hard until the last moments of life for the statehood of the Republic of Kosovo. In these moments of pain, our hearts echo with the Dole family and the American people. Rest in peace our great friend”, writes Conjufca.
Robert Dole passed away today at age 98.
