Chitaku Kurti: Instead of publicly arguing with American officials, go to Washington.

Former Kosovo Ambassador to the United States, now deputy head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo Vlora Citaku, has been declared about the dialogue process with Serbia. She has said Prime Minister Kurti must travel to the US and have meetings with senior officials. Citaku on the “show, Face” on Telegrafi, has said Prime Minister Albin [...]
Citaku on the “show, Face” in Telegrafi, has said Prime Minister Albin Kurti is hostage to his words.
However, PDK deputy chairman, said Kurti should know when she is in Brussels, The PDK will support him.
It's not like I've seen government consistency in terms of dialogue, they once said they have no priority at all, then they said it's the seventh priority. So it's not like I've seen consistency, Prime Minister Kurti I think in relation to dialogue is a hostage to his words.
The prime minister should know that when he goes to Brussels, when he sits in front of Aleksandar Vuciqi, the Democratic Party of Kosovo is behind him. We will oppose Kurt for internal affairs, but for some important foreign policy points, we should be able to build a consensus and be together”, she said.
Speaking of the dialogue process, Citaku has said Prime Minister Kurti should travel to the US, and have meetings with senior officials.
We should have it clear that the status quo does not condition us like Kosovo, we should have the sense of urgency, we should knock on Washington, and I also invite the prime minister that, instead of publicly debating with American officials, he should travel as soon as possible to Washington. We shouldn't take well-being with the United States. The U.S. does not owe us any support when there are many global challenges, the world has changed, it is multipolar, there are other gravitational centers in the world. We have to do much more to maintain reports with the US, and we have seen a completely irresponsible behaviour of the Government of Kosovo in the gas-referring report”, she has said among other things.
Citaku has added further that the key to the gas-reference has been in the interest of Kosovo.
“What the US has offered us is the key to Kosovo, and this is in Kosovo's strategic interest, Citaku said.
Among other things, Citaku said reports with the US are vital to Kosovo's citizenship.
“Reports with the US are vital for the citizenship and empowerment of Kosovo's international subjectivity, we are strong, as powerful as our alliance with the US is, so I urge Kurt to travel as soon as possible to Washington, to ask the US to appoint a special delegate for Kosovo dialogue Serbia. The United States of America should be directly involved at the table and not in the supportive role”, she stressed.
As for the Association, Citaku has said it must be done on the basis of recommendations the constitutional court has provided.
“I and the PDK are against the third level of power, against the executive competencies of the association”, it has been potentiald.
In the interview, Citaku has also talked about the PDK's position after the 2021 local elections, about reform of this party and its role in the opposition.
