“Boll Ma”, protest against violence against women

Protesters, dressed in white clothes and marked by improvised violence on their faces, marched into the main squares of Pristina to stop in front of the Kosovo Government building, where they put on the ground a pan with the motto of this protest.
Organisers of this protest said they are seeking justice for girls and women abused in families and societies, as well as justice for those who lost their lives as a result of domestic violence.
Artpolis organisation leader Zana Hoxha said the systematic abuse of girls and women and their deaths as a result of violence is also taking place because of the lack of proper institutional response in preventing and <x0nd of the sentences deserved for the perpetrators of these”.
In Kosovo, women make up the majority of victims of domestic violence.
According to Kosovo Police data, by September 2021, victims of domestic violence have reportedly been 1,437 women and 408 men.
Each year, since 2018, at least 1,000 women have been reported victims of domestic violence.
On November 25th, the International Day for Prohibition of Violence on Women was marked, and from that date, for 16 days, various activities against violence against women are organised.
