Arian Zaymi, chairman of the Council of Specialists, said their demands have run into deaf ears and have been ignored at the institutional level.
In this case, he declared that their survival depends on the salaries they receive in the public sector.
“We have no support from institutions, there is total neglect over these two weeks, for which we have had a meeting with the Commission for Health, and there we are told that our demands are feasible, but it depends entirely on how much political will exists between the prime minister, finance and Health Minister”, he stressed.
Meanwhile, Amire Damolli, the specialist of Plastic Surgery, said that many of her colleagues who held custody were not paid a cent.
We keep around 120 hours of custody outside the regular hours we have between Monday and Friday, which is 40 hours, and colleagues are paid zero cents. Colleagues have kept custody even at COVID clinics and have not been paid, received no additions, nor salary“, she stressed.
