The Kosovo delegation leads the prime minister, Albin Kurti, while in that of the EU it will be European bloc's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell and Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhely.
The Stabilisation and Association Council has been formed under the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (MSA) between Kosovo and the European Union, and implementation of this agreement by both sides is analysed.
The Stabilisation and Association Agreement is the first contractual and only agreement between Kosovo and the European Union, which has entered into force on April 1st 2016 and which aims to support Kosovo's efforts to strengthen democracy and the rule of law.
Kosovo's delegation is also part: Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi, Foreign Affairs and Diaspore Minister Donika Grovalla, Finance, Labour and Transfers Minister Hekuran Murati, Interior Affairs Minister Xhelal Svecla, Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure Minister Liburn Aliu and Deputy Justice Minister Nita Shala.
Tuesday's meeting of the Stabilisation and Association Council, according to EU sources, will be an opportunity to analyse the reports between the sides, the current situation in Kosovo, and the evental remarks in meeting obligations stemming from the SAA.
But, as sources in the EU say, regional co-operation will be discussed at this meeting, including dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
Although it was warned that before the end of this year a high-level meeting could be held within the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, in the EU they have said they do not see the parties' readiness to achieve any concrete results in the dialogue at the moment. Therefore, under these circumstances it cannot be predicted whether there will soon be any meeting within the dialogue between Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq.
While in Brussels, Prime Minister Kurti is expected to meet with European Parliament President David Sussol.
