The country's prime minister, Albin Kurti, has spoken at this meeting about the importance of Kosovo's education and Professional Education for Economic Development.
“Reforming and harmonising the Education and Professional Training System plays a crucial role in completing the skills gap and in the overall development of our country”.
The industry has not been able to complete free jobs with qualified workers, despite official reporting for major unemployment. This has been because the system of education and Professional Training, despite having undergone numerous reforms, has failed to adapt to the needs of industry and labour market”, Kurti said.

Kurti stressed that to attract foreign investment in the country, one of the key factors is the qualified workforce.
“Being the country with the newest population in Europe, it is imperative that our youth be educated and trained with professional skills, to serve social development, the prime minister said, adding that through education and Professional Training, jobs could be added, poverty reduced and inequality eased. It should also be as institutions with our responsibility, but also as society with our own awareness, to increase the profession and professionalism, not academic. So it is possible to be professional even without being an academic, the prime minister said, by refocusing how institutions and societies should influence the reputation of non- academic professionals and their authority”, Kurti said, among other things.
Proposals were given during this meeting about empowering co-operation with industries, as well as connecting between predicting economic development and developing the workforce through education and Professional Training.
