The latest meeting of 2 governments, Albania, Kosovo, where a series of co-operation agreements between the two countries were signed, according to Kosovo's ambassador to Tirana, Skender Durmishi, differed from others.
“
The agreements reached by Durmish are intended not to be an obstacle between the two countries for their implementation.
“The border between Kosovo and Albania is where it has been, but these agreements are intended for it to be no obstacle to”, he added.
Tens of agreements signed earlier between the 2 countries have been left in shadow by not being implemented properly. This was also identified at the meeting of two governments, so this meeting, as the ambassador points out, was intended to make some things more concrete, such as the issue of permit.
The areas of the two governments have concluded that some agreements have been implemented more and a few fewer. The goal of the meetings has been to make some things more concrete. I'm referring to the focus issue that is already defined, it's going to be five years stay with a simplified procedure, with a click of”, the ambassador in “Balkan” said.
Asked whether there is co-ordination in foreign affairs between the two countries and a unified policy, Durmish spoke positively, however stressed that there could be even more co-ordinated representation.
“We have co-operation from some friendly countries, but the diplomacy of Albania and Kosovo are in a more specific report, actions are not enough, but we are in the process. I in the past and myself have experienced the hand of support and contribution the foreign ministry has made.
There's an orientation that has more coordination. Already in some places we have common consulates. There may be a more coordinated representation. There is no dilemma and no one denies it. We at the moment simply mention that from the moment Albania is on the security council it will be a chance for Kosovo to benefit from this situation as the voice of Kosovo”, he added.
15 agreements were signed by the gathering of two governments, whose finalisation will be managed by the Intergovernmental Co-ordination Secretariat. Some of them are the agreement on lifting temporary permit, for social security recognition, on feasibility research for the Durres (Pristina) railway segment, fixing traffic at the border, or even recognising diplomas.
