The action at “Brezovice” is suspected of being bribed for business with shareholder Veton Surroi

The former head of Shrpca, Bratislav Nikolic, who was arrested yesterday by Kosovo Police during an action in this municipality, for construction without permission in Brezovica, is allegedly accepting 210 thousand euros in bribes for granting 21 construction permits to investor “Stella Consulting”, as well as another 200 thousand euros for construction permits of the hotel facility “Stella Consulting”.

Meanwhile, Democracy.com has found at ARBK that the founder of the group “Koha”, publicist and writer Veton Surroi, owns 30 percent of the “stock Stella Consulting” in Brezovica.

However, the prosecution is only the other owner, who is the legal representative, Gentian Sula.

Otherwise, yesterday the Constitutional Prosecutor at Ferizaj has announced that the former head of the Shrpca municipality, Branislav Nikolic, the director of Urbanisation, several other officials and firms have been arrested on Tuesday in police action, due to suspicion of bribery and misuse of official office.

They are being suspected of criminal acts: bribery, bribery, and misuse of official duty.

“The Founding Procuror at Ferizaj, reports that at its order and in full co-ordination with the Kosovo Police - Pristina's Head of Crime are conducting action in the municipality of Shtrepca. In terms of this action so far under state prosecutor's order, ten (10) suspected persons, including the former head of the Shrpca municipality, the director of Urbanism, several other officials and owners of firms, due to suspicion of criminal acts “Retracturing”, “Credit Line” and <6>KestKestec use of official position or authority” of the Kosovo Republic Penal Penal Code <8> says the statement.

We remember that during 2010-2015, Nikolic was at the helm of Shtrpce, Nikolic, who along with the procurement official, were accused of binding a contract worth about 346 thousand euros, exceeding 10% of the contract, which was worth 1 million and 516 thousand euros for construction of some buildings, says Democracy.com.

However, on December 29, 2015, Ferizaj's Foundation Court had declared him innocent of misuse of official office.
