Tahiri stressed that this law is vital for public officials, as well as for better functioning of the state administration, as well as for completing the state reform of Kosovo institutions.
According to Tahiri, the 85m-euro budget for this institution will be ensured by reducing certain budgetary codes in order to survive this law.
For the growth of the “Mallra category and Extension”, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Parliamentary Group proposes two options: 1. Increase budget revenues for this value for 85m euros; or 2. Lower other spending categories for the value of 85m euros. The Capital Exploitation category, the Class of Goods and Services, and the Kontgen Fund, are the categories with the potential to decrease to increase the “Page category and Extensions”.
Tahiri also extended some recommendations to the Government of Kosovo, salary increases, and private sector subsidies. We recommend that the government increase wages so that citizens can cope with the increased cost of living as a result of price hikes and take measures as soon as possible to increase the minimum wage and subsidise the private sector to increase wages, he said.
