Officials have said that a 16-year-old boy and two girls aged 14 and 17 years old have died.
The shooting took place at Okford High School, about 35 miles [55 km] north of Detroid.
Police assume that the suspect, a student at school, used the gun father bought him last week.
Students have said they were hiding under banks during the attack.
According to officials, the 15-year-old suspect may have started the attack five minutes after police were called.
Okland County Deputy Deputy Mike McCabe said no shots were heard during the arrest and the teenager was not injured. / REL/
