Prime Minister Zoran Zaev in a statement from Bulgaria announced most travelers from the accident bus on the Struma highway in Bulgaria are from Northern Macedonia.
Zaev said that among the soldiers there was a citizen of Serbia, either Presevo citizen or a citizen of Belgium.
In an interview for Bulgaria O NIR, Prime Minister Zaev said he will meet with survivors of the tragedy. He said he has managed to talk to one of the people stationed at the “Pirogov” hospital.
He told me he heard an explosion. Father and six other survivors have broken bus windows and managed to escape. The victims of tragedy are persons aged 25-30, and there are children. The tragedy is large”, Zaev stressed, adding that parallel investigation is not expected at this stage by Macedonian authorities.
We trust our Bulgarian colleagues. If they need help, we are willing to help with the investigation. Now the most important thing is to see to help the injured”, said the prime minister, Zoran Zaev.
