Secretary - General NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, has spoken of the importance of NATO presence in the Western Balkans, thus citing their role in Kosovo.

He gave these comments during a speech he gave in Latvia, at the conference for global security, ” NATO's view towards 2030th and beyond”.

We've been traveling a long way into the Western Balkans and NATO presence there since the 1990s.

We have helped end two ethnic wars that are in Bosnia and Herzegovina and later that in Kosovo and Serbia. We have significant presence in Kosovo through KFOR and also in Bosnia”.

” We are concerned about increasing tensions, so we welcome that NATO and the European Union are working closely in the region as in Kosovo, but also in Bosnia and Herzegovina”.

” We are concerned with Milorad Dodik's lighting rhetoric in Republika Srpska, we support all commitments to reduce tensions and continue to help increase Bosnia's” capacities.
