Fifth witness hearing ends in trial of Salih Mustaf in The Hague

The fifth protected SPS witness has said that during the war he did not know that “Skifts” are also called BIA, but according to him, he learned this after the war.

Justice Foglia: Do you know if they had another name, Hawkers?

Witness: No, I don't know.

Justice Foglia: What you're saying is that during the war you didn't know that the Hawkers were also called BIA.

The witness said that at the base of “Hawks” only went once and did not enter the facility.

Witness: We didn't get into the facility, we just left the food there and a soldier took it and we went on the road.

Judge Foglia: Do you know if Serbian forces have arrived at the Skiftier base during the Serbian offensive?

Witness: Yeah, I think all over Dallas have Serbian forces.

And for two photographs that the judge told the witness, which were not public, he said he identified the “Cale” with the red hat.

In other parts, the hearing has come and closed to the public.

With the court's questions for the fifth protected witness, the trial against former KLA member Salih Mustafa, known as Commander Cali, has ended for this week.

The sixth witness will be heard on Wednesday, November 10th.

Five witnesses have been heard in the trial against Mustafa so far, all protected, whose identity has not been disclosed to the public.

The trial has begun on 15 September 2021 and is the first in Kosovo's Specialised Chambers in The Hague, and Salih Mustafa is the first arrested by the Special.

The Act against Mustafa has been confirmed on June 12, 2020, as he was arrested on September 24th last year, on a war crimes claim.

In his statement before the court, Salih Mustafa has been declared innocent.
