The VVA's most voted candidate in Prizren was part of the association that AKI considered dangerous

Ilir Gashi is the most voted candidate of the Vetevendosje Movement in Prizren in the October 14th local elections. It, according to official results published by the Central Election Commission, has received a total of 1,000 and 260 votes. During the pre-election campaign, Gashi is seen to be very close even to Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Prizren leader Mytaher [...]

But what was Gashi's past and what's his story with the AKA organisation? that the State suspended as suspicious
Ilir Gashi has been part of the organisation called Association for Culture, Education and Education (AKEA), whose main leader has been Imam Husamedin Abazi.
Gashi had led the branch of this organisation to the city of Prizren.

This organisation (AKEA) was suspended at the order of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency and the MPB decision, since it had doubts the same promoted extremism.
Among the organisations that were suspended were 12 others.
In 2015, Shkordan Manaj, political adviser to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, had told Radio Free Europe that the work of these NGOs has been suspended since it is considered to have posed risks to Kosovo's internal and foreign security.
The decision was made based on information provided by AKI and police.
The entire procedure was in accordance with the Law on Association Freedom for NGOs, and the administrative directive for registration and functioning of nongovernmental organisations in Kosovo”, Manaj had said in 2015 for REL.
(The list of Nongovernmental Organisations, to which the Department for NGO/MAP, dated October 26, 2015, has ruled on the request of the competent Security Organization to suspend their activity: 1. The Association for Culture, Education and Education(AKEA); 2 Al-Wukaf al Islam; 3. Canary of Goodness; 4. Truth; 5. Key; 6. Tree of Mercy; 7. Kosovo Aid Development(KAD); 8. Youth Istogas; 9. Hectar-Heh; 10. Singleness; 11. principle; 12. Gurma; 13. Midship Student, published by the REL on February 13, 2016.
Regarding the Organization AKEA and ties to suspicious organisations had also written the columnist of the Turkish newspaper “Todays Zaman”, Emre Uslu, in 2014.
Uslu in September 2014 had published a text in this “Today Zaman” where he had voiced doubts that Turkish TEK is involved in projects helping individuals suspected of involvement in terrorist organisations such as al-Nusra and I SIL, and the connections KIKA had with the AKE organization.
“ had also written about how Hashim Thaci had not allowed the opening of a medre funded by Bilal Erdogan, son of Rexhep Erdogan. It was built by the Association for Culture Education and Education “run by Husamedin Abazi, which with the support of Erdogan's son had managed to receive $1.5m in funds from Murat Ullker.
For these writings Uslu was arrested by power in Turkey, meanwhile, the offices of <x0days Zaman” were also raided on charges of links to the opposition.
Another Turkish journalist, Abdullah Bozkurt, had written in 2017 about how people associated with Erdogan continue to radicalise young people in Macedonia, Kosovo.
In this writing, Bozkurt has attached photos to which Ilir Gashi is also seen at a meeting with radical Turkish cleric Nurtin Yildiz during 2012. /Express/
