Albania, Serbia and Northern Macedonia agreed to establish the project implementation council “Open Balkan” -- an initiative that envisions free movement of goods, capital and people without customs barriers among participating states.
Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, who said within the maximum of a year and a half the citizens of the three states could move freely without stopping anyone at the borders.
“We agreed to establish the implementation council and discuss its composition later. We discussed concrete topics, and we approve and adopt certain agreements. We had a very important meeting with representatives of the business community of our three countries. We saw that they're 100% in favor of this initiative. It is depressing to all of us that what we agreed on is that we are not able to apply it fully. On behalf of Serbia, I can say that the Open Balkans is an extraordinary initiative. This initiative was made for people”.
The Serbian president said the next meeting will take place in Tirana at the end of December, where the agreement on free labour market must be approved./ A2 CNN
