That's how the Voice of America made known through sources in Washington, until it's known there's still no official confirmation of it.
As this source reveals, part of the Democracy Summit will be Serbia.
The question of the invited criteria and what importance it might have had, however, was not the subject of a more detailed State Department response to the Voice of America's question of maintaining and organising the Summit for Democracy.
In a written response by the US State Department, the purpose of the summit was to strengthen its commitment to establishing democracy and human rights at the heart of the foreign policy of the United States.
“will require an innovative and strong commitment to protect against authoritarianism, ways to deal with and fight corruption and promote respect for human rights in and outside the country”, said in response to them.
