What you need to know about the virus that is only affecting children and spreading to Kosovo

A virus has begun to spread among children in Kosovo. The Coxsack virus, also known as mouth disease, hands, and feet. But what should you know about this virus, and what are the symptoms? Oral infection, hands, and feet cause slight symptoms in children [...]

Oral infection, hands, and feet cause slight symptoms in children who leave without medical treatment. Although these infections are estimated to lead to even more serious infections at certain times.

In many cases the symptoms of this infection are similar to those of seasonal flu, although the infection also causes red ribbons in the hands, legs, and mouth.

This virus is part of the family of viruses called enteroisus and is usually found in the mouth, stomach, thin, fat intestines.

About half of the children infected have no symptoms. The rest, they have throat pains, mixed pain, fever, headaches, bubbles in their hands, mouth, and feet.

This virus spreads through the air, when a person is suffering sneezing, coughing, or puffing.

Young children can also receive this virus during the touch of various toys.

Hence, it is recommended that children keep their distance from other children, wash their hands often, without touching their eyes, nose, and mouth.

This virus has spread to children in the country and confirmed pediatric Ramush Beiqi.

He told Express that a large number of children with changes in hands, mouth, face, and other body parts have sought medical treatment.

He has shown that the biggest number of children were pre-schools.

In the past two weeks, a large number of children have been reported with these changes in their hands, in slaps, around their mouth, in their face, in their natural parts, and in their toes. We had more preschool kids by the age of 9-10. It doesn't look much like viral infection anymore, it's more bacterial infection because most changes have skunks that indicate it's a contaminated bacterial infection”, he stated.

Beiqi has said this virus is very easily transmitted.

According to him, children infected with it should be isolated for three or four days so that no other children are at risk.

I don't think there should be any panic, children should be isolated from their collective stance, not visiting three to four days of school order until they are healed. Treatment is too easy for three or four days they are removed. I don't think there should be a panic because it's an infection that lies fast among children, but with a three-four-day treatment, the child is fat. The children who are affected should be isolated from school and from the target and treated so that the children who are healthy do not be exposed to infection”, he added.

And Beiqi said this infection was bacterial and not seasonal.
