What's going on with the vaccine in Kosovo?

A month earlier, 7 thousand and 726 vaccines were administered in the country on October 16th, and two months earlier (9 September) 20 thousand and 675 vaccines were administered.

At a time when numerous states are facing a new wave of COVID-19, citizen vaccine has been highly valued for preserving public health.

From the Health Ministry have told Express that they have provided vaccines and have provided opportunities for vaccinating all citizens over the age of 12, including foreign persons living in Kosovo.

Information spokespersons have said that since vaccination is not mandatory by law, they cannot penalise people who are not being vaccinated, although, according to them, the unexcused are penalising themselves by exposing themselves to the risk of the virus.

“COVID-19 is not a mandatory process of law enforcement, it cannot be penalised for those who are not vaccinated with any legal sanction, but on the other hand, much more opportunity is given to vaccines for access to various activities, and what is most important to vaccinated are also protected by the disease, most, while cases that are affected and vaccinated have far more opportunities to overcome the infection easily and to avoid extending to the hospital”, the MSH spokesperson has said.
