The former Kosovo Liberation Army chief except that he was the first Special Court detainee was also the first to be tried in Specialised Chambers in The Hague.
The trial process against Mustafa began on September 15, 2021, 356 days after former Commander Cali had moved to the Netherlands on September 24, 2020.
So Salih Mustafa will testify to more than 16 witnesses, according to what has been made known by the Special Chambers.
Mustafa is charged that during April 1999 he committed war crimes at a detention centre in Zlath, near Pristina, but he has denied everything he finds in the indictment by declaring himself innocent.
