Deputy Prosecutor Borislav Sarafov has declared today that according to forensic expertise, all victims of the accident in Bulgaria have died of fire.
All victims on the accident bus have died as a result of fire asphyxibility, not injuries from the accident, according to forensic expertise data assigned by the investigation, Deputy Prosecutor Borislav Sarafov” reported today, Bulgarian medium Dnevnik.
The bus, registered in northern Macedonia, is involved in fires on a highway southwest of Sofia on the morning of 23 November.
Investigations into the fire have begun. A total of 12 children are among the victims, including two twin brothers from 4 years of age.
Most of the travelers were tourists returning from a trip to Istanbul, Turkey. Seven people have been rescued and sent with burns to the hospital.
Northern Macedonia has declared three days of mourning for the victims. Days of mourning have also proclaimed Kosovo and Bulgaria.
