Out of the 70 sent samples that have resulted in positive results in Kosovo, sent to sequence via the ECDC project in Eurofin, Germany, sequence has been made in 59 cases, of which, in 12 cases (20.33%) the Delta Plus version is detected, and in 47 cases, the variant Delta (79,66%) has been detected.

The Health Ministry reports that the Kosovo National Public Health Institute has accepted the results for samples submitted to the fifth delivery for sequence via Project E. CDC at Eurofin Genomics, Germany.
Out of 70 samples, sent days ago for processing via the ECDC project in Eurofin, Germany, sequence was made in 59 cases, of which, in 12 cases (20.3%) the version Delta Plus is detected ( AY.4-like) and in 47 cases the version Delta (79,66%) has been detected,
IK The KPS plans on Monday, 15,11,2021, to send the other positive samples to the SARS-CoV-2 collected over the past two weeks, through the same project, with the aim of visual oversight of SARS-CoV-2 variants in circulation in Kosovo.
The situation with COVIDD-19 in Kosovo, according to the analysis of the epidemiological situation with COVID-19, represents a drop in the number of cases for 19.11% compared to the last two weeks. Also trending cases of deaths reported by USKKUK and hospitals treating patients with COVID-19.
ICHPK teams are constantly investigating and tracking all possible resources to prevent further spread of cases, early detection of cases, and possible human health implications for the version of Delta PLUS.

Given the high number of active people who can carry infection and unknowns for the rapid distribution of COVID-19, the Health Ministry calls on all to implement the government's recent decisions and become continued monitoring of measures with an increased dynamic control on the part of Kosovo Inspectors and Police to have an effect on lowering the epidemiological curve and on reducing the death toll.
Also, it is called on citizens who have not yet been vaccinated to do so as soon as possible in order to protect from each of the SARS-COV-2 variant and the quickest immunity with the vaccine against Ovid 19 by being fully vaccinated.
