About 35,000 people took to the streets against new anti-Condavid restrictions. The march, which began peacefully, then deteriorated when demonstrators threw up objects and police responded by using cannons and tear gas. In Holland, the third night of anti-blocking protests took place.
Many small groups are ruining things; in the northern town of Groningen, a Dutch police spokesman said, adding that officers against violent manifestations are committed to “the return of the order”. The unrest also took place in Enschede, Leeuarden and Tilburg, according to local media.
A day earlier, the protests also took place in Italy and Austria, which has restored full anti-Condavid isolation until December 12th.
