Skopje's deputy head of the Alliance for Albanians, Bujar Abazi, has said that according to the first information from both Macedonian and Bulgarian institutions, there are suspicions that oil and pyrotechnic vehicles were being smuggled into Skopje's “Besa Trans” bus.
Ahaz told T7 that this speaks of a corrupt system and has made concessions.
I can say it was a sad day not only for Skopje and the entire region. So much more for those of us who come from Cair and around here where there were many of them that we probably know. We see from information coming from both the institutions here and those of Bulgaria that there was actually a launch of institutions in the chain. We have a bus with no license. We have a bus that went into customs without being controlled by anyone, then smuggled, like the first information, fuel and fireworks. This says we actually have a corrupt system that has consistently made concessions”, she said.
