Many Serbian citizens have gathered before a wall of criminal convicted of genocide, Ratko Mladic in Belgrade. Murali is now being protected by the Serbian gendarmerie, while a few hours ago the activist Aida Corovic was attacked after she laid eggs on a wall with the image of criminal Mladic.

“Gendarmerie holds the lead to the war criminal and allows us not to pass on to the citizens”, writes activist Marko Mihailovic on Twitter and shows the images of Serbian policemen gathered there.

Many activists have gathered in Serbia's capital to protest the arrest of Aida Corovic.

Serbian writer Vladimir Arsenijevic was witness to the attack on activist Aida Corovic after she laid eggs on a mural with the image of the Serbian criminal Ratko Mladic in Belgrade. She was arrested by police in civilian clothes, writes Al Jazeera, broadcasts Express newspaper.

THE entire state of Serbia, by its power, has attacked a woman of an age, which is abnormal, and I just tried to protect her from those”, Arsenievic said.

Hope for the Future

Protests against criminal Ratko Mladic's wall are being seen as hopeful by former NATO official Robert Pszczel.

He has said on Twitter that honouring war criminals would not do Serbia good on the road to a better future.

Humble “Mural: Honoring a war criminal will not help Serbia build a better future. I am glad to see so many people in Belgrade have decided to protest against him”, he wrote.
