Political commentator Ermal Sadiku has spoken salaries in the public and private sector and the difference between them.
Sadiku, on the show 'Pressing' in T7, said that in 2020, when the salary rose for 44 euros, in the private sector has dropped to 31 euros.
“In the public sector in 20 years has increased in multiple years, in 2020, in public sector wage pandemics rising by 44 euros and reaching 624 euros, in proportion to how much we have among the largest average salaries in the region in the public sector, because we have GDP twice as low as Serbia, but in many public sector countries we are equal to their salaries. I'm not saying that the pay in the public series is huge because I'm still saying the salary has a relative concept that it should compare what you have to buy with that salary.
When the salary in 2020 increased by 44 euros in the private sector, 31 euros is dropped. In 2020 the private sector wage has been 380 euros, I am thinking grossly, while in the public sector it is 624 euros” Sadiku said.
He even said there is a large margin of pay between the public and private sector in Kosovo.
I don't know that there are other countries in Europe that are so large between the public sector and private. This has to create a bigger problem with trade unions, now we see, the finance minister's statements are unfathomable, as the concept is wrong”.
