The distance of the remaining unit from the Ukrainian border is 260km, but Kiev is in a state of readiness and has not lowered its alert. Ukraine's defence minister said Russia uses these military games to keep the country's eastern regions and political pressure on neighbouring states under tensions.
Meanwhile, Moscow and Kiev have denied news that Russia is gathering its army at strategic points near the Ukrainian border.
