Russia marks record double death and infections

Russia on Thursday registered the record of the dead and connouristed with coronarys for 24 hours, despite the restrictive measures taken, including a week off from work. The government's anti-coronvirus Task Force reported 1,195 deaths of 40,217 new cases of infection, including over 6,300 in the capital alone, writes Free Europe.
Some Russian regions have extended the one-week layoffs deadline, which went into effect throughout the country on October 30th after increasing the number of cases.
Authorities in the Kursk and Brynsk regions, bordering Ukraine, the Chelyabinsk region near the Ural Mountains, Tomsk in Siberia and the western region of Smolensk said Wednesday their isolation would continue even after November 8th.
President Vladimir Putin has given regional authorities the opportunity to extend the time of firing workers beyond the originally defined date, if the situation is deemed dangerous.
Meanwhile, authorities in Moscow said businesses will reopen on November 8th, but other measures will remain in force.
