So said Dardan Abazi senior researcher at the Institute for Development Policy (INDEP) at the discussion table “The rise of prices in the market and consumer protection”.
Ahaz even pointed out that consumer complaints are numerous for rising prices unannounced by merchants, as he said in some cases there are even doubts about such expensive deals.
Amazingly, the number of complaints by consumers addressed to the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Trade(MINT) is extremely low.
According to this ministry from January to September, only 19 complaints have been filed, as of September until now when prices have increased, there are no more than four complaints from consumers.
This little number of complaints, Head of the Department of Commerce, MINT Zef Dedaj has said that citizens seem to be aware that these price hikes have resulted from imports of goods.
Deday on this table stressed that it is evident that there are price hikes, which he called as disturbing, but according to him it is being detected by imported goods from abroad.
If we're importing goods that means we're importing price increases. Fortunately for the current there is no increase. As for rising fuel prices and others this has happened and has been proven by the AK. However, it is disturbing to raise prices for basic products, which include bread, food oil, meat and others”, he said.
OEK Chairman Berat Rukiqi said the energy crisis and rising electricity prices have mostly affected businesses.
OEK leader Rukiqi has encouraged businesses to raise wages for workers, until he stressed that some companies are already doing so.
