The SBASK through a media communique has announced that it has started consultative meetings with representatives of the Parents' Council to inform about the situation in education and of the decision that, in short, they say, the government's readiness for dialogue will be initiated by union actions.

“The SBASK has published the decision by meeting with the union-level and university heads, which on December 4th to start with union action starting with a limited number of leaders and union activists and representatives of the Parents' Councils. Under these preparations, the SBASK has started consulting meetings with representatives of parental councils starting with Pristina. At SBASK headquarters head of the SBASK Nundman Jasharaj along with the co-ordinator for internal organisation Ymer Ymer and the chairman of Pristina's Pre-university Education Union, Ahmet Plana, have hosted the chairman of the Parents' Council, and members of the leadership of Pristina's Parents' Council Nexhami Hoxha and Besim Cakoli. SBASK representatives have informed the parents' Council of the situation in education and of the decision that in the absence of readiness for the government's dialogue, it will be initiated with union actions. They have said that the SBASK is making all possible commitments for the wage Law issue to be resolved directly through dialogue and union meetings with representatives of the Government so that it does not go on strike and therefore has invited representatives of parents' advice to be together with the SBASK in these commitments in hopes that the joint message will be understood directly by the government and will start the right solution to the wage law. If even these commitments do not yield the expected outcome, then strikes will occur in the entire educational system”, said the USSK communiqué.

According to this communique, the chairman of the Parents' Council for Pristina, Jeton Demi, Nexmi Hoxha and Besim Calcoli have expressed support for the SBASK's demands.

“Parents' Council for Pristina Chairman Jeton Demi along with Neddi Hodza of Besim Cacolin have indicated that they support the legitimate demands of SBASK and express respect for efforts to resolve issues with dialogue. They have also praised the commitment to all this commitment so that strikes that paralyse the entire educational system. They have indicated that they will debate with the chairmanship of the Pristina Parents' Council to be together with December 4th in protest, in the hope that the Government will reflect and reach agreement without the need for further actions”, the SBASAK communique concludes.

And during this Thursday, the Human Rights Protection Council ( KMDLNj has called on the SBASAK not to threaten protests, but to return dialogue with the government to find a solution.
