The LDK candidate, among other things, said the project to extend the central heating network, except that it solves the big heating problem, also positively affects air quality.
Significantly, Pristina now and many years, mainly in winter season, faces the problem of air pollution. Last year, according to air quality measurements, it ranked as the most polluted city in the world. A major factor in air pollution is also considered to be the use of coal for heating.
