Rama: The open Balkans debate between Albin and me, two-headed eagle is not taken by surprise

Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, has said today that differences with Kosovo for regional initiative “Open Balkans” pose no obstacle to deepening co-operation. Until reports between the two countries presented them through the eagle with this leader.

At a joint media conference with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti after the joint meeting, Rama said his thoughts on Kosovo- Serbia has not changed and that it is the same as it has declared in Belgrade 6 years ago, when it said that Kosovo's independence is an irreversible reality and that this independence must be recognised and Serbia must.

 “ (For dialogue) is the same opinion as I expressed in Belgrade, at this point there is no dilemma. As for Open Balkans, we have two approaches, different attitudes. On the other hand, it takes you and everyone to get used to the fact that we may not think the same about all things, but this does not prevent us from putting all our strength together to do the right things, in the function of the future of our two countries”, he said.

Saying that different opinions about the “Open Balkans” pose no obstacle to empowering relations, Rama reports with Kosovo figuratively presented through the two-headed eagle.

 Let me refer to the two-headed eagle is one body, one head looks on one side and the other head looks on the other, but the body stands straight. That means the eagle is completely informed visually on 360. Have no doubt that the two - headed eagle is in danger of being caught unawares on either side or on the other, after eye - control. No worries about that. I think it's an added value that we're a two-headed eagle. When the day comes for us to be an eagle with one head, the risk is to bite ourselves, more than, today that we don't have this luxury, nor that goal”, Rama said.

Rama added, however, that the issue of the Open “Balkan” remains open between him and Prime Minister Kurti.

“For “Open Balkans” is an open debate between Albin and me, and never expect that between me and Albin all the debates will be closed because then it happens to us to change our names and not be what we are”, he added.

Meanwhile, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti did not mention at all the regional initiative “Open Balkans”, but said Serbia was not mentioned at the meeting of the two governments.

 Even the meeting we had two months ago in Pristina, and today's meeting proved that it is possible for Kosovo and Albania to discuss and inconsiderate and not mention Kosovo's northern neighbour. We should also have an assessment of this, since we are two independent states, but at the same time there is no need how often we co-operate to mention Kosovo's northern neighbour”, he said.
