Putin, Vuciqi for Kosovo: We have a principled attitude, hope to fulfill the interests of all

Russia's position on Kosovo is not subject to the current political situation, and Moscow hopes that a solution will be found to benefit the interests of all sides, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday during the meeting he held with his Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Vuciq.

You know that our attitude is of principled nature, does not subject to the current political environment. We support your position on resolving Kosovo and hope that the situation will eventually develop in a way that will meet the interests of all people living there”, Putin told Serbian President Vuciq during a meeting in Soci.

While Vuciqit described relations between Serbia and Russia as at the highest level of all time.

Thank you, honored president and dear friend for taking time for our meeting, regardless of the coronary pandemic. This is a very important meeting, most important meeting for me. I believe relations between Serbia and Russia are at the highest level in history and are under way in all areas of”, the Serbian president stressed.

“Sic you know, we are strategic partners and Serbia views it as its (4)x1> privilege, he added.

The head of the Serbian state also thanked Russia for, as he said, “supports his country's territorial integrity and sovereignty”.

“As you know, we are seeing an increase in provocations and tensions in our region, especially on the territory of Kosovo and Metohija. Thank you again for supporting international organisations”, Vuciqi said.

We remember that Vucinqi is staying in Russia for an official visit.
