The prosecution seeks detention of five arrested for cutting down trees in “National Park. Sharri”

The news was made known through a communique, where suspects reportedly are under a 48-hour ban.

“According to the prosecution's request, there is doubt that the indefinite defendants in co-ordination, in continuation in the protected forest exactly on the territory of National Park “Sharri” with the intention of selling and contrary to Law provisions No.04/L-087, for Sharri” National Park, they have cut wood of various types, which are then transported by transport means and due to damage to the Directorate for National Park Management “Sharri”, caused major material damage, with this in ongoing co-ordination, “The loss of the forest” by Article 349 par.3 subpar 3.1 and 3.2 related to Article 31 and 77 of KPR.”, the report says.

The same “, in co-ordination, continued in the protected forest exactly on the territory of the “Sharri” National Park, have destroyed vastly surfaced forests, so they have cut wood of various types and quantities, with which actions of damaged Directorate for Management National Park “Sharri”, caused major material damage, with this in ongoing co-ordination, have committed criminal work “The destruction of forest” by Article 348 par.2 concerning Article 31 and 77 of KPRK.”, said further in the statement.

For this, the Prosecutor at Ferizaj has asked the Foundation Court in Ferizaj to appoint the detention measure.
