The prime minister's adviser, when he does not receive an invitation from the United States, blames Hotin when he does.

For a week, Jeton Zulfaj, political adviser to Prime Minister Albin Kurti, has given two different positions on the issue of Kosovo's invitation to the Democracy Summit from the United States. As the blame was attributed to the former government of Hoti for the ban, he is giving credit to Kurti government now when the invitations were confirmed.

On Friday, KOHA has learned in sources from Washington that Kosovo will be invited to the December summit. President Vjosa Osmani has also been informed of the invitation, following meetings she had with representatives of American institutions.

But the whole other attitude took him exactly a week earlier, when it was reported that Kosovo will cool off. He blamed the former government on Hoti and her way to power.

It is no surprise why Kosovo was not invited to the Democracy Summit called by the United States of America. Kosovo is the only country in the Western Balkans to rank the lowest in ʹNations in Transitʹ from Freedom House with 3.14 out of 7 points or 36% out of 100%. Freedom House estimates that this year the outcome of democracy marked a decline for Kosovo due to the government's unconstitutional installation of Hoti in June 2020. A few days ago, the American medium “Politco” published a list of 100 states that were invited from Biden for the December summit. Kosovo, Serbia and Bosnia from the Balkans were not found there, and this prompted reactions from opposition and civil society. The US Embassy in Kosovo, following Kosovo's non-style reports, stated that Sam cannot accommodate all partners.
