The US called for a ceasefire in the one-year conflict that has created a humanitarian crisis, the BBC reports, translates Periscopi.
The Front for the Deliverance of the People of the Tigers [ TPLF has said its aim is to get the siege into the northern region.
In the statement given Sunday, Mr. Abiy said the rebel advance was pushing the state “to death”.
