Periscop reported exclusively a few days ago that the Government of Kosovo and the Ministry of Internal Affairs [ MPBs have urgently received the completion of the Law for Public Officials, which is expected to be sent to the Kosovo Assembly for voting.
Periscope has secured the draft bill, where Kurti Government has made some radical changes in terms of civil servants in middle and low leadership positions.
Civil servants who have high and low leadership positions, following the passage of this law in the Assembly, will be appointed to mandate.
In this regard, The AAK today has held a media conference, saying the government is trying to break up the system built for 20 years now, which they say tends to politicise the system.
“On behalf of the AAK group, we will address one of the most important issues, the Law of Salaries, but also two other laws that are in the legislative agenda. Let me talk to you about the Public Officials Law, which had to come in a month and not come. The law referendum is and aims to seriously damage the achievements we've had now 20 years. The current governance is trying to disrupt the career target of civil service: division chiefs and department chiefs in the civil service, actually become a relationship like in private sector. This government is aiming to destroy the career target and to contract you as in the private sector, which is essentially to use the policy these countries can fill with party people. Don't touch the career system for public officials. If you want to make all the politics, let it be known that the secretary, the director, the boss, goes and comes with a party, but don't touch the career system”, said Besnik Tahiri, Perskopi quoted.
