Opposition MPs are criticising the Government of Kosovo, which they say is not bringing bills to be adopted in the Assembly, though it has a majority.
LDK MP Driton Selmanaj and AAK MP Pal Lekaj are considering the Kurti Government unable, which they say is the only job they do with or without rights.
MP Selmanaj says that even in the commissions he is part of, he notes their non-work, as he sees it as the inability to proceed with enough laws.
The fact that in this new parliamentary democracy is the first case when we have a great majority, so a parliamentary majority that has never been of a parliamentary group that has the majority to pass whatever it estimates, and it is expected that this majority will have a major dynamic of jobs in the Parliament, but here we are deeply disappointed”.
There's a lot of confusion in all the jobs that happen in the House, even in the process of law making we're extremely far behind. Even in the Commission for Legislation, Mandate and Immune, our work is minimal, and this normally indicates the inability to process enough and proper laws, and the inability of the Government to write the laws properly. What this parliamentary majority has proved successful has been the dismissals, so if it is attributed to something for this period, we can call the current legislature a name only for download”, Selmanaj said.
Speaking of Kurti Government, Selmanaj has called it unprepared and says he accidentally won the February 14th election.
“Normically the consequences are afterwards. The framework is the main institution that makes laws, and normally, a certain segment or someone's life is affected by laws, and this slow dynamic is about the logic of the Government because the work of the Parliament and Government is interlocked with one another”.
So here we seem to have a Government and a legislature unprepared for this result they received in the February 14th elections. So as if they haven't been willing or haven't enough resources to implement their policies or program that they promoted”, Selmanaj said.
The MP from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Pal Lekaj, for Online Economy, has said that the position has given them more space to local elections than the duty they have received from citizens.
He says that failure has been observed in the failure of the headship meeting several times in a row.
And as far as the current legislature is concerned, I think there's a major impasse in the adoption of laws, in their proposal and discussion of them in the relevant commissions, and I can say that I haven't seen a positive impact with the adoption of these laws, because there was no hearing for about 20 days, and in this direction, the chain impact on the adoption of laws. Rather, the government and the Assembly have given importance to local elections, forgetting there is also a obligation in adopting or preparing laws that will make it functional in specific areas”, he said.
The criticism also includes the failure to sign the agreement for MCC funds in terms of gas infrastructure. He says Kosovo dares not reject projects that have a positive impact on developing the economy.
“As far as the gas infrastructure is concerned, we've been declared as Government and the country, that we can't accept projects that have positive impacts on citizens and economics, and especially on renewable energy, and in this sense we've blamed Government and made a huge mistake, as far as the gas pipeline comes from Greece, that are separate from the U.S. Congress worth $200 million, and the MCC, and in this respect not that they haven't, but they haven't analyzed the fund and our friends like the United States.
Erblin Hoxha from the Fol Movement has said there is little time left for legislative initiatives to be completed over time.
He says that even if these did in time, he would be unable to make the opposition part of the discussion.
The legislative “Plant is extremely ambitious with over 200 legislative initiatives of such kind, even though two of them have been removed, but there is only a little time left for this year to be realised, and as long as the time goes by, the more that part of the discussion closes, that law or legislative agenda can potentially be met to a extent, but it gives no room for discussion and has the involvement of all the acts, such as the opposition or others<1>, he indicated.
