At the Constitutional Court in Pristina, court hearings have been launched against the accused in connection with the murder of Kosovo Serb politician Oliver Ivanovic.
As soon as the hearing begins, Mahmut Halimi, the accused's lawyer, Marko Rossic, said the case is being predicted and expressed concerns about any background.
No family injury member is present because of COVID 19, until now the hall is full of media. Tomorrow, my client makes three of them found he's in jail and there's a background going on here”, he said.
But the judge, Valon Kurtaj, said that if he has such speculation to be directed into the competent organs and if he's doing it just for show, he'll be responsible.
If you think that move, it's basic to the special prosecution. Your doors are shut. But if you don't have any action or evidence, you have to be held responsible for certain statements”, he said.
Several witnesses are expected to testify at this court hearing. As they begin their testimony, the chairman of the court has asked to stop the video recording.
