The Yokohama Court in Japan, however, saved him from the death penalty for which prosecutors had argued, saying she had manifested regret over the killings.
Ayumi Kuboki was convicted of killing three patients in September 2016, adding antiseptic solutions, resulting in their slow death, reports Periscope from Independent.
The 34-year-old nurse said she poisoned patients to avoid trouble explaining their deaths to family on her shift.
Kuboki said she had orchestrated their death in that form for patients to die on other shifts, not on her shift.
It would be trouble if that responsibility fell on me,” said Mrs. Kuboki.
He had been told that he suffered from schizophrecy and autism, but the prosecution argued that these had not influenced her to kill patients. /Periscope
